We started out our journey with the newest Disney release, the live-action remake of Cinderella. We loved it. This live-action version stayed fairly true to the original animated masterpiece, which made it especially fun to watch. Seeing the beloved characters come to life was magical, especially Gus Gus. As for Lily James, love her in Downton Abbey but love her even more as the kind, good-hearted Cinderella. But although the new film follows the original story, this movie can stand all on it’s own. It brought new elements into the story that further explained Cinderella’s background and why she chose to stay with her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, a question we have always wondered.
