I remember my sister challenging all the girls in the family to read this book before the movie came out. and she would take those who read it to see it in the theater. And if I remember correctly that got a whole lot of young girls to read at least one book. Well done sister.
This movie has it’s charms. We love Rory, I mean Alexis Bledel, and the story holds your interest. I still think of Carrie every time I see Sissy Spacek in anything. That movie will forever delightfully haunt me. If you are a sucker for those teenage true love movies then you will most likely enjoy this movie, but other than that there isn’t anything too notable about this that makes it stand out as a must see.
