THE ROOKIE (2002)

Overall The Rookie was good. However, we did like the first half better than the second. The movie was fun and interesting until he got to the Major league, which is weird because that was the entire point of the movie. You were rooting for him to tryout and make it to play Major League baseball. But once he got there, the movie just slowed way down and not much happened until we finally saw him pitch. I understand that was probably the point, but what we watched in between tryouts and the MLB game just wasn’t interesting. We loved that it was based on a true story. It just goes to show that you should never give up on your dreams.
