Not nearly as good as the first Goofy movie, but it still has some moments. Goofy goes to college so he can get a better job since he was fired from his job at the toy factory. In the first movie, Goofy was a baby photographer. I can’t help but wonder what happened to that job and if there were any others in between. What has your life been like in between Goofy?
This movie is amazing, with a soundtrack that is a must have for any road trip! I can’t recommend this movie enough. And for those of you who are wondering who max’s mother is…we looked it up. According to disney.wikia.com, her name was Mrs. Geef, also known as Mrs. Goof, and made a brief appearance (only from the back) in the Goof troop series. Goofy mentioned to Max that “she’s up there with the stars”. So though we don’t know how, she has passed on. Now you know. Go impress others with your knowledge.
I remember liking this a lot more than I did watching it this time. We love Raven, but this movie was not great. They are supposed to be this awesomely talented girl group but the songs are not that great and the ending scene made no sense. Why do all the girls just happen to be wearing matching outfits when they come down to help. They were all in a fight. They weren’t talking to each other. So when they saw their friend needed help, did they decide they needed to change to match the outfit she was wearing just in case they end up doing a performance? Guess so.
I was not looking forward to this movie. I remember when it came out and not being impressed with the trailers. Turns out…I was right. It was very predictable and even though these types of movies usually are, it didn’t have anything extra to keep me interesting and distracted from the fact that I knew exactly what was going to happen. Young teenagers and preteens might enjoy it, but other than that I wouldn’t recommend it.
This one is just as fun as the first and if you are a fan of the first one, you will like this. The story in the first was is better, but the music in this one is better in our opinion. Come on, admit you love these movies and enjoy young Zac Efron singing and dancing his little heart out.
How handy that this year is High School Musical’s 10 year anniversary. Since we saw that Disney channel was re-airing them in celebration, we figured it was time to watch them to check off the list. We totally jumped onto the High School Musical band wagon when it came out. Although it has it’s cheesy moments, it is a good movie. The music is great, the dancing, the actors, the story, all great. My favorite scene by far is the Status Quo musical number in the cafeteria. Oh those silly kids. And filmed in Utah! I know exactly where East High is. It exists. The one big criticism for this movie…Kids are not allowed to wear hats in school!
PUPPIES! We love this movie. A classic love story between two dogs from different worlds. Lady is just so sweet and Tramp is so lovable. And if you don’t love the classic spaghetti scene in this film, then you get out of here and go sleep in the dog house! You probably are a cat lover and love those trouble making Siamese cats, don’t you. Tsk tsk.
Cars 2 has been called by some as Pixar’s first flop. Here are my thoughts about it: First, isn’t everyone entitled to a mistake? Pixar has given is a lot of really fantastic movies so I think we can forgive them if one comes out we don’t like as much. Second, if this movie is the worst movie Pixar has done, then Pixar has proven that even their bad is actually not that bad. I agree that this isn’t the greatest of movies, but it really isn’t awful. It still is entertaining and has some of that original Cars humor. It is, however, one of those movies where it seems like it was made because they realized the funny supporting character was a huge hit so maybe he should have his own movie. It’s a very risky thing when side characters get their own movie. They often aren’t rounded enough as a whole character to be able to carry a movie by themselves so often the movies flop. Mater was able to carry the movie better than others because in the original we were able to see an emotional side to him as well as his plucky comedic side. So seeing more of that in the second movie was believable. And because the movie was about a race around the world and spies and cons and etc, we didn’t get to see much of our beloved Radiator Springs or the quirky characters that reside there. All in all, not bad. Not great, but not bad.
Maybe if you are a fan of the series you might like the movie but we are not and did not. It was bizarre and weird. They did get creative with the story. But in our opinion they play up the twin thing way too much. There are plenty of physical comedy bits, however it seemed to be missing some of the fun that this generation of Disney Channel shows had.
Watching this movie was better a second time. I was reluctant to watch it again as I remembered not liking it the first time was saw it. But it turned out to be not as bad as I had remembered. While still not great, this movie does have it’s moments, it was entertaining and the thought of martians coming to take my mom is kind of a terrifying thought. Not a must see but better than what you might think.
