THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER (1981)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

Oh the Muppets. We love them and their crazy burglar-catching, heist-stopping skills. I mean, when you can go through your checklist and not have a single thing including wax lips, bag full of chickens or peanut butter and still be able to stop and catch the bad guys, you are truly the best. This movie is fun and great for a muppet pick-me-up. Plus, you won’t want to miss the incredible dance number by the one and only Ms. Piggy. And, they’re in London, baby!

NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS (2007)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

While not as good as the first one, this is still plenty fun and full of action. Ben Gates and the gang are on a mission to find the City of Gold and once again, we are taken on a treasure hunt across the U.S. that will change history and the world. If you enjoyed the first one, you will like this one. It is a good time and will make you feel quite patriotic.

THE PRINCESS DIARIES (2001)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

Who doesn’t love this movie? Nobody, because it is awesome. People who say they don’t like this movie, are liars. They just don’t want to admit that this is their secret shame and they watch it every night. I am onto you, naysayers. Well I say there is no shame in liking it and no need to call it a guilty pleasure. It is wonderful. Embrace it. You can not go wrong with a movie that has Julie Andrews in it…you just can’t. And we all know that Anne Hathaway totally nailed it and this was her first role in a feature film. This is just a good one, so go and watch it.

THE MUPPET MOVIE (1979)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

The original movie that was before all the other ones…yeah. Everyone needs to see the original Muppet movie and enjoy it in all it’s late 70’s glory. You have appearances by Steve Martin, Mel Brooks and other celebs that kids today will have no idea who they are. It’s fantastic! Plus, there is a song about rainbows and it is amazing! Maybe you have heard it?

STARSTRUCK (2010)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

This movie actually turned out better than I thought it was going to be. It was cheesy but overall not bad. Kids and teens will like it. I did get annoyed with the main girl. I felt like she was pretty judgmental and it got old, but I guess that is the point. Not a must see, but bearable if your kids are watching it.

GLORY ROAD (2006)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

This movie is the true story about a coach who took the first all-black starting lineup in college basketball to the NCAA championship. It’s a true under dog story that may be too intense for younger viewers as the characters are dealing with true to life discrimination and racism. But it’s an inspiring tale that I would recommend for everyone to watch.

THE POOF POINT (2001)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

I feel the same way about this movie as I do Pixel Perfect. It is weird, dumb, boring and I wish to never see it again.

MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND (1996)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

What fun! This movie makes cabin fever look like the party that everyone wants to be invited to. The Muppets take a classic story and ramp it up by added their one of a kind humor to turn it into yet another great story. It is just a fun movie that you can sit back and enjoy with whole family.

PIXEL PERFECT (2004)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

A girl’s band needs a lead singer who can also dance so they can play at the hip teen club. What’s the answer? Create a hologram that can do it all, duh. The hologram girl is supposed to be super awesome, but she is actually just weird. Then of course, the virtual image develops real thoughts and feelings. Her creator, a teen boy genius, grows creepily close to her and fights for everyone to treat her like a real human being. This movie is just weird and bad. Phil of the Future, we still like you.

THE BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER GOES TO MARS (1998)

[ezcol_1fifth]    [/ezcol_1fifth] [ezcol_4fifth_end]

Sigh of relief that this is the last of the Brave Little Toaster movies. We were not fans of the series and definitely not a fan of this one. Toaster and the gang go to Mars to rescue their master’s baby that has been accidentally kidnapped by a giant fridge. Does that plot sound ridiculous? It’s because it is! Kids may enjoy the nonsense, but if you show your kids and they get hooked and want to watch it over and over again…we warned you and you brought that torture on yourself.
