Two best friends, who also happen to be the smartest girls in school, decide to build a boyfriend when one of them made him up to impress the popular girl. Of course the two smart girls wear glasses so we know they are smart. And when the one girl becomes popular because of her robot boyfriend, we know it because she no longer needs her glasses. And glasses are expensive. Why do you girls have a different pair of frames every day? Aside from that, like a few other DCOM movies before, we have the lead fall in love with something that is not real and thinks that the robot boy loves her, will never leave her and should be with her rather than to do his job for the government which is supposed to be building schools and other humanitarian work around the world. Teenage girls be crazy.
