Based on a true story, the movie follows the journey of Alvin Straight when he decides he needs to mend the relationship with his estranged brother who has become ill. His brother lives 250 miles away. This was a movie we had never heard of before and we weren’t sure what to expect. It turned out, though, to be a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the movie and were fully invested in rooting for Alvin to make it to his brother’s safely. We recommend this movie to all and wouldn’t be opposed to watching it again ourselves.
